A maintenance update to v27.0.1 built from community reports: confirm before refreshing, a choice of when the whole-app lock asks again, file names built from labels, your own like animation, Open in another app for videos, emoji packs in captions and quick reactions, and fixes for settings export, Ghost Mode, Note likes and Navigation. Clone and UnClone for all four architectures.
Choose your APK
Clone uses a separate package so it can coexist with Instagram. Unclone uses the original package; check for conflicts and back up local data before replacing an installed app.
Match your device's ABI: ARM64 for 64-bit ARM, ARM32 for 32-bit ARM, or x86/x86_64 for compatible Intel devices and emulators. Use Universal only when this release lists it. The build target is separate from the minimum Android requirement.

Feed, Gestures and Likes
- Confirm before refreshing: Feed, Explore and Reels ask before a pull to refresh reloads them (Feed > Gestures).
- Like animations: import your own animated WebP or GIF; the picker opens taller.
- Like protection never blocks liking a Note.
- Disable video autoplay: Instagram's play button no longer stays on a playing video.
Download Center
- File name format: build download names by tapping labels (username, media ID, download date, posting date, type). The download date is now one of these labels.
- Open in another app: the advanced download menu can play a video in VLC, MX Player or a similar app, with a switch to hide it.
Fixed in this build
- Exporting settings no longer fails after choosing a Navigation screen type.
- Ghost Mode switches take effect while the Direct shortcut is on or paused.
- Like protection no longer blocks liking a Note.
- Emoji packs reach feed captions, the quick reactions above the writing boxes and typed comments.
- Disable video autoplay: Instagram's play button no longer stays on a playing video.
- Direct conversations keep Instagram's status bar under a MyInsta theme.
Known issues
- Right after installing, scrolling can feel less smooth until Android optimizes the app in the background (usually overnight while charging).
- Transparent app icon: Samsung and Oppo launchers draw a dark shape instead of an invisible icon.
- Reels that only offer USAC audio keep USAC on Android versions that cannot mux their video (VP9, or AV1 before Android 14).
- With OpenMoji, the red heart in the quick reaction rows keeps the system emoji.
Installation
Pick the APK for your phone's architecture (most phones: arm64-v8a). UnClone replaces Instagram (package com.instagram.android); uninstall the Play Store Instagram first. Clone installs next to Instagram as MyInsta (com.myinsta.android). Updating from v27.0.1 (or v27.0.0 and the v27.0.1 betas) signed with the same key installs over it and keeps your data. Export your MyInsta settings before uninstalling anything.
